School Pictures

Will had his spring pictures made at school last month. We think they are awesome.

Zoo!

We took Will to the zoo for the first time last weekend. We got there as the gates opened to beat the heat and the crowds, and we had an amazing time! Will loved seeing the animals, and kept asking for more of each of them. "More gorilla!" "More tiger!"

I think the tiger was his favorite. Unfortunately, that tiger is very elusive! He definitely did not enjoy the reptiles--smart boy! One of his favorite parts of the trip was posing with the Willie B Gorilla statue, which was actually his idea. He ran right up, sat down and yelled "cheese!"

The zoo was so much fun that he fell asleep as soon as we got back to the car, 1.5 hours before his regular nap time. Looking forward to heading back soon!

In the car, so excited!

Looking at birds.

Kangaroos!

Look how close he is to that panda!

Planes and Trains

We took a trip to Richmond, Va to see our friends Charlie and Amy. They're practically family, and we were very excited to see them in their new home. Will was such a great little traveler. He slept through both plane rides.

Wedding and Family Time

I wish I had a picture of Will as the ring bearer for Kevin and Keila's wedding, but I don't yet. In the meantime, enjoy some photos of our time with family while we were in Alabama for the wedding.

Afternoon Routine

Will is a child of routine. When we get home from school and work in the afternoons, he makes a few very simple requests.

After running to the fridge, "bottle PLEASE!"

Then, Will runs to find his friends Woody and Buzz.

He hops up on the couch, gets comfy with his friends, a blanket and pillow, and says, "Please, Elmo's World, please!"

I don't mind, because he learns a lot--he's starting to recognize numbers and letters and other lessons from Sesame Street, and it gives Mommy time to get dinner ready for everyone.

Shopping

Will and Mommy went shopping while Daddy worked one Sunday. Will loved his sunglasses, and he didn't want to take them off in Target. Or anywhere else for that matter. Also, I explained to Will that we were shopping, and then took him to get frozen yogurt for being such a good boy. So, now Will thinks "shopping" means "frozen yogurt."

A Day 2011

We were very excited to take Will to his very first A Day. You know we'll take any excuse to go to Auburn, but Will has gotten so into Auburn and football lately that we knew he'd love being there.

We were not wrong.

Samford was particularly gorgeous that day.

Will was impressed with the football players and the band ("more Auburn please!"). He also loved his huge pretzel!

Where Did April Go?

Wow. So sorry for delay in posts--we've been some busy bees.

Let's see. Will turned 2. I got a new job. We went to A-Day. Our dear friends Kevin and Keila got married, and Will was the ring bearer. And, we took Will's first plane trip to see Uncle Charlie and Aunt Amy. Whew.

And, now its May. So, this week, I'll have a series of posts updating our recent adventures. Hope you enjoy.
