Let Me Explain...

No, there is too much. Let me sum up: 1 pipe busted 2 times, a family of 4 in 3 different single rooms in hotels, 2 weekends at Casa de Swenson (thanks again!), 1 corporate apartment, 2 installations of new hardwood floors, 1 new kitchen, and 7 weeks away from home. From January 7 to (hopefully) the end of this week, it's been...well, "an adventure" would be putting it nicely.

So, I'm getting back on the blogging horse with a few highlights. Thanks for bearing with me!

In January, Luke really embraced his love of all things Sesame Street. And crazy hair.

He figured out how to climb.

Will pretended to win the Heisman and be Luke Skywalker (with the same props).

We played outside, in the sun and the snow.

Santa Came! He Came!

We open stockings on Christmas Eve. Will thought that meant as soon as we woke up on Christmas Eve. It was a long wait.

Luke liked opening presents and especially liked his corn puffs. He ate them right away.
Will enjoyed opening stockings, and he was very cooperative about going to bed so Santa could come.
On Christmas morning, Will was thrilled that Santa brought everything he asked for--"Batman, Ironman, Hulk and Batman."
Both of them were more than happy to help you open your presents, too.
There was a LOT of wrapping paper.
We played with toys and wore new clothes.
Merry Christmas!

Getting Ready for Santa

We had a great time getting ready for Santa this year.

Our elf, Rupert, arrived early in December. He brought snowballs from the North Pole, drove the Batmobile, played with Legos, snuck some candy, and even rolled our Christmas tree. He was really excited about Auburn, too!

We made snowflakes to hang from the staircase.

We made our own ornaments for the tree.

We wore cute hats.

We made and decorated cookies for Santa. Maybe a little too excitedly.

And, after Will talked to Santa on the phone, he made sure to put those cookies out right under the tree so Santa could find them.

With Santa

Luke was not happy about waiting for Santa. Even though we were only third in line. He also does not like strangers. And, you could says he's attached to my hip a good bit. So, I knew this was going to be a disaster. But, Luke managed not to lose his mind, and when we saw Will make this face, we declared it a GREAT SUCCESS!
