Yesterday was one of those days I wish I could bottle up and keep forever. Ms. J warned me when I picked him up that he hadn't slept a wink all day. He and his friend, Jacob, seemed more concerned they would miss something if they settled down for a nap. This is something that happens quite often when he is at school, and its one way we know he has a great time there.
When we got home, I expected he might fuss a little or want to go to bed earlier than his normal 8-8:30 bedtime. But, man was I wrong. Will was like a shining star, full of brilliant light. His usual happy self had been multiplied. He patiently practiced using a spoon with dinner. He lounged in the bath, content to stay there all night, if I let him. We read and played together and he probably laughed for 3o minutes straight. He never stopped smiling. And, right in the middle of a big smile and laugh, he snuggled closer to Gus and was instantly asleep.
I don't think I can properly explain the evening. I don't have pictures from last night, because it was too good to even stop for the camera. But, I know that Gus and I were both energized and overwhelmed by how much the evening meant to us. We are constantly reminded of how blessed we are and just how happy Will makes us.
Here's another happy happy picture from this weekend.

Oh that is so sweet, it almost made me cry! I'm so happy that you guys are all so happy! :)
