Happy. Happy. Happy.

Our little boy is getting so big! It blows my mind that he is almost 2 years old!

We've learned a little bit about the Terrible Twos or what I prefer to call "The Battle of Wills." We're actually really lucky. Will is so sweet, and his teachers are always telling us how great he is with his friends--helping them when they fall, or taking care of the new kid in class. And, he's so sweet and loving at home, as well. We've learned that sometimes Will is more excited in everything else going on to eat dinner, and sometimes going to bed is the last thing he wants to do. But, all 3 of us are learning the word "patient." Really, Will actually repeats it when we say it, and he's so cute when he does.

Thanks to Gram, Grammy and "Uncle" Charlie and "Aunt" Amy, Will has a full fleet of "Chuck" trucks and cars to play with. He loves playing with the cars, making car noises and driving them all over the place.

Will loves looking for planes and helicopters in the sky and making their noises, and every morning we look for the moon when we go out to load up in the car. He's learning so many new things, so quickly. His teachers have even started "potty awareness" at school, and he loves trying to sit on the potty. He was successful during a potty trip at school today, and he was so excited.

Will is also learning about feelings at school. Tonight, the three of us were playing on the bed, jumping and running around the upstairs, and Will said several times "happy." Happy. Happy. Happy. And, that right there, hearing Will tell us how happy he is, that was one of the best feelings ever.

Fist Bump

You know you are a mommy when...

...you reach into your jacket pocket and pull out a half-eaten, petrified stick of string cheese....and, instead of being grossed out, you marvel at how hard cheese gets.

...one of the highlights of your weekend is taking your son to the grocery store, so he can drive the "race car" buggy....and, your heart melts when he thanks you for buying him yogurt and milk.

Blessed

Since our last update, we've been snowed in for almost a week, our Tigers won the National Championship, and Will has graduated from the high chair to a big boy booster seat at the table. We're having such a fantastic time, and Will is growing so fast. He's learning all kinds of new things every day, and Gus and I are just trying to keep up! We're just very blessed.

Love

To borrow a blog topic from my friend, Jenni...

Love is having Will call to us from his crib just because he wants to
snuggle a little more before falling asleep.

Just Having Fun

Will loves to play with kitchen items. Two of his favorite things are my silicone muffin pan and a small strainer we have. I'm looking forward teaching him how to make yummy food, but in the meantime, I love taking pictures like these.
