I have such mixed emotions about the passing of 2009. Cliche or not, it was the best of times, and it was the worst of times. (I just had a flashback to 10th grade, throwing that book at my bedroom door because I hated it so much!)
2009 was never boring, that's for sure. 3 emergency trips to the hospital. 1 crashed computer. 1 stolen car. Frustration. A dismal economy. Lots of frustration. And, I miss my dad, and I'm mad that I have to miss him.
But, to quote a great Christmas song, a baby changes everything. No matter what else we've gone through this year, it will always be the year our lives changed in the most amazing way possible. Will is truly a blessing and a gift from God. He has brought such unspeakable joy to our lives. And, he puts everything in perspective. Despite all that 2009 brought in the way of pain and misfortune, one smile, one giggle, one touch from Will pushes it all away.
So, here's to 2010. May it bring all of you, your families and ours many blessings. And, I'm going to enjoy every second with my little goober and my amazing husband.

Will's first taste of Cheerios. He loves them!
Will loves to chew on the drawstrings for Daddy's hoodies!
